Thanks to Crescendo Music Notation Editor's easy to understand functionality, musical compositions can be created without any difficulties, regardless of their complexity. There are no obvious drawbacks to mention.
The software can auto-format your symbols and it allows you to play your composition or export it in MIDI format. You can add and arrange musical notes and other symbols on a stave, without any restrictions or auto-correct features getting in your way. If it sounds right, you can start printing the sheet music, save it as a JPG, PNG or BMP image or export the music in MIDI format. Instead of humming or singing in your head, you can just press the Play button, located on a ribbon menu, to hear your composition. Another useful feature is the possibility of playing the composition at any time.
Additionally, you can auto-format all symbols with a single click. Inserted symbols can be clicked and dragged to other positions, so you can make any modifications without any effort. The notes and other symbols, located on the aforementioned tool pane, can be replaced with dynamics, which can be inserted the same way. When you insert a musical note, the application will display additional symbols, in colored circles, next to the mouse cursor and you can select one if you wish to add it next to your note or use it to modify the note.
All you have to do is select a symbol and click on a stave to insert it. The available notation symbols are located on a tool pane, which shows up besides the main interface. Of course, you can still type text, beneath each stave, if you wish to include lyrics. Instead of typing text, you can add staves and populate them with any symbols and signatures you want, without any restrictions or annoying auto-correct features to get in your way. The user interface presents a piece of A4 paper, just like MS Word or other advanced text editors. The application doesn't have any special requirements and it works fine on any mid range computer. It is compatible with 32 and 64-bit operating systems and it can be installed in a matter of seconds.
Besides saving and printing your composition, you can perform other actions, to make your work easier.Ĭrescendo Music Notation Editor is distributed as a freeware application, for Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8. It comes with a broad range of notation symbols, as well as time and key signatures, which can be placed freely on one or more staves.
Crescendo Music Notation Editor offers a simple way of creating sheet music. A better solution is to compose on a computer, using a specialized application. If you wish to write your own musical composition, then you may need a large amount of paper.
